Prednisone has many side effects. Some of them are nervousness or restlessness, indigestion, increased appetite. Some side effects are quite rare and occur at a less frequent rate such as increased sweating, sensation of spinning, hiccups, flushing of face or cheeks, dizziness or light-headedness, darkening or lightening of skin color.
One should notify the doctor if they suffer from either less common effects such as increased thirst, frequent urination, Decreased or blurred vision or rare effects such as skin rash or hives, restlessness, mood swings, mistaken feelings of self-importance or being mistreated, hallucinations, false sense of well-being, excitement, and confusion.
There can even be other additional side effects such as wounds that will not heal, weight gain, vomiting, unusual tiredness or weakness, unusual increase in hair growth, unusual bruising, trouble in sleeping, tearing of eyes, headache, thin, shiny skin, reddish purple lines on arms, face, groin, legs, or trunk, pain in arms, back, hips, legs, ribs, or shoulders, filling or rounding out of the face, bloody or black, tarry stools, swelling of feet or lower legs, stunting of growth in children, sensitivity of eyes to light, muscle cramps or pain, changes in vision, abdominal or stomach pain or burning. |
