Diphenhydramine and hypertension

Diphenhydramine belongs to the group of medicines recognized for their allergy alleviating properties. This group of medicines is popularly known as antihistamines. They particularly offer immediate relief from allergic reactions like runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, accumulation of mucous inside the throat or nose, skin irritation. This medicine is known to lower the blood pressure of the consumers. Therefore, this medicine may have positive or negative effects on those distressed with cardiovascular problems and high blood pressure.

In fact, patients suffering from other distresses like asthma, overactive thyroid gland should also take this medicine only after the consent of the doctor. It is quite likely that the doctor advises less dosage of this medicine to the patients suffering from the above mentioned illnesses.
