Anaphylaxis is an allergic disorder which is a result to the reaction of various allergens that the victim is allergic to. There is no fixed cause of this disorder. It varies from person to person and the allergen that he is allergic to. But some of the more common allergens are food, insect poison via insect bite, latex and some medications.
Some of the common food products that may cause Anaphylaxis allergy are:
- Eggs
- Cow’s milk
- Peanuts
- Fish
- Soybean
- Sesame
- Wheat
- Nuts including hazelnuts, cashews and almonds and other aerobic activities.
Anaphylaxis can also be caused by constant exercising.
The function of the immune system is to defend the presence of some foreign substance in the body. Strictly speaking, these foreign bodies must be the ones which are harmful to the body. But in certain cases, the immune system of the body also reacts to the presence of certain elements which are not harmful to the body. This triggers a chain reaction. The symptoms of such a reaction is not always life threatening. But in certain cases, these reactions may cause life threatening symptoms and cause Anaphylaxis. |
