Facts about seasonal allergies

Seasonal allergy is a term which is used to denote the respiratory problems which are faced by the people who are experiencing allergy to pollen which can be from the grass, weeds, and trees. The pollen grains can affect the eyes, nose of the person who is allergic to it and sometimes it can also have adverse effect on the lungs. These pollen grains are very light in weight and can travel a long distance along with the wind and the concentration of pollen present in the air depends on the type of season and the day. Due to seasonal allergy, the person suffers itching, sneezing, and watery nose.  

With the help of skin test, allergy trigger can be easily identified. Some of the sprays which can help to relieve the symptom of seasonal allergy are antihistamines, corticosteroid and decongestants. The occurrence of seasonal allergies is quite common in nature and the main time of their occurrence is summer, fall or spring. The diagnosis of the seasonal allergies is carried out based on the circumstances when they occur and this will also help the doctor to identify the types of pollens or allergens. Sometimes the nasal discharge can also be given for examination of the factor causing seasonal allergies.
