Can you have side effect from antihistamines?

Antihistamines are often regarded as a cold treatment and may be less effective. Antihistamines help in relieving itching. Common side effects are drowsiness, dizziness, restlessness, nervousness and upset stomach. People who consume this medication must reduce or stop alcohol intake. Alcohol can increase a person’s drowsiness. Also, pregnant and breast feeding women may not be able to take this type of magazine. Other rare side effects are dry mouth, dry nose, irritability, blurred vision. The drug’s effectiveness is lost after its consumption over a period of time. The reason is that the immune system stops reacting towards these drugs and builds up a tolerance level against them. Usually, Antihistamine stops working completely after approximately three months. It is advisable to switch over to different types of antihistamines, so that the affectivity of these drugs against allergy is not lost.
