Allergic bronchitis symptoms

Bronchitis is the result of extreme inflammation on the mucous membranes on the bronchial tree. In case, this condition emerges due to the stimulation of an allergic reaction and not any form of illness, one may be diagnosed with allergic bronchitis. One of the most identifiable symptoms of this condition is cough along with the formation of yellow or green colored mucous. However, in certain cases, the cough may be dry and may not be accompanied by the production of phlegm. It is important to note that the release of phlegm is indicative of a severe infection in the lung or lower respiratory tract. Such a condition may also be a symptom of pneumonia.  

In normal cases, the cough, nevertheless the form, may not last for a period more than two weeks. However, persistent and sometimes forceful cough may result into soreness in the abdominal muscles and chest. This can sometimes cause injuries in the chest wall. Furthermore, persistent wheezing is another important signal of allergic bronchitis. This sign may become aggravated due to increase in inflammation in the respiratory airways. Breathlessness or shortness of breath is another evident symptom of this disorder. As a result of which the patient may find difficulties in inhaling breath or may be left gasping for breath for short intervals.
